Hello. I’m Dick Lloyd, (hoping to become your) wedding photographer.
I live in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, I’m a father of two (boys) and a grandfather to two girls and a boy. They have all been very supportive of my passion for photography and have acted as models when I have been honing my skills and testing new equipment.
Until quite recently, I was a keen cricketer (batsman and wicket-keeper) and still do some occasional umpiring. Since 2022, I have been hosting families fleeing the war in Ukraine. This has been a really positive and rewarding experience.

You will see below my three Collections, which are each defined by the duration of the photography and the number of digital images.
Each of the Collections can be customised according to the additional items you want and according to your budget.
Additional items can include credits that you can use in your online gallery towards the cost of prints or wedding albums, extra time added to the duration, additional digital images, slideshows, extra mini wedding albums (for your parents), an additional photographer at your wedding, and an engagement photoshoot.
I will help you to tailor your collection so that it includes the additional items you want whilst remaining within your budget.
Forever Moments Collection
Perfect for couples looking for beautiful, essential coverage of their day. Ideal for more intimate weddings or smaller budgets.
Price: £800 - £1,500
Duration: up to 4 hours of coverage
Digital Images: up to 100 digital photos
Extras: Includes credit towards prints or a wedding album
Timeless Memories Collection
A wonderful choice for those who want more comprehensive coverage and additional customization. Perfect for capturing all the special moments of your day.
Price: £1,500 - £2,500
Duration: up to 8 hours of coverage
Digital Images: up to 250 digital photos
Extras: Includes credit towards prints or a wedding album
Eternal Elegance Collection
My premium collection for couples who want the ultimate in luxury and coverage. Includes extended hours and a greater number of images to truly capture every detail of your special day.
Price: £2,500 - £4,500
Duration: up to 12 hours of coverage
Digital Images: up to 500 digital photos
Extras: Includes an engagement shoot, 2 photographers at the wedding, credit towards prints or a wedding album
Remember - each collection can be tailored to meet your specific needs. Whether you’re looking for a few hours of coverage or an all-day experience, I am here to ensure your memories are captured beautifully.
All collections include:
Pre-wedding consultation where we discuss your plans for the day, the styles of images you like, editing preferences, lighting, etc.
You will be shown examples of the wedding albums.
I will explain how the print credits work and the typical costs of prints and albums.
I will help you to tailor your chosen package to include things that are most important to you, whilst still keeping within your budget.
I will provide you with a contract so you can be sure what to expect. Whichever collection you choose, payment terms are as follows:
£250.00 non-refundable booking fee – this is due immediately and secures your booking and means that I will not arrange another booking for your special day.
50% of the balance due for payment within 30 days of paying your booking fee
Final balance due no later than 30 days before your wedding day

I thought I’d share with you my answers to some commonly asked questions about my photography.

It’s not really a secret, I see it more as a process involving many steps, including planning the shoot, getting the client to relax, creating great light, paying attention to background and props, not making the client feel rushed or pressured in any way, using the right equipment for the task, using the right camera settings to get correct exposure, focus and mood, discussing colour schemes and props with the client, making the client feel part of the collaborative process, paying attention to aspects of composition, using flattering angles - the list goes on.

What do you want the photos for? Web or print? Where do you want the shoot? Indoors or outdoors? On location or in a studio? Do you want to frame prints for your wall? Do you want your photos to invoke a certain mood (e.g. drama, light and airy, freshness, contrast, high key, low key, complimentary or analogous colour palettes)? Do you like black and white photos or do you prefer colour (or both)? Do you like dark or light backgrounds?
